Over the past years the process of driving tuition has changed greatly. Life moves at a much faster pace now and roads are far more congested with a higher percentage of inpatient and erratic drivers. All modern vehicles are easily capable of accelerating quickly and travelling well in excess of any speed limits. In order to keep pace with these factors and in the interest of improving road safety, it’s become necessary to raise driving standards.

An effective way of doing this is by improving and increasing the standard needed for a new driver to pass a driving test and obtain their licence. In order to facilitate this an approved instructor has to cover a much wider range of road types, layouts, junctions and driving conditions. Unfortunately, it’s now not enough for a pupil to just be taught in the area around their pickup location. It’s important that a pupil has sufficient time during a lesson to travel to all the necessary areas and locations required for learning.

With this in mind our driving school does not offer 1 hour only lessons as we believe these do not give value for money considering the time often needed to reach the required areas for teaching. It’s often the case that with 1-hour lessons most of the time is spent by the learner getting to and back from a location with very little time left for learning once actually there.

Effective learning is all about practice, repetition and continuity. We therefore strongly promote the necessity for a pupil to have at least two hours of tuition a week.
